A bstract The infinite chain of transitions one pair mesons (channel I) into another II) can produce bound states and resonances in both channels even if no interactions inside exist. These which occur also meson-baryon are called channel-coupling (CC) resonances. new mechanism CC is proposed where due to a rearrangement confining strings each channel — the recoupling mechanism. amplitude this expressed via overlap integrals wave functions participating (baryons). explicit calculation with known yields peak at E = 4.12 GeV for $$ J/\psi +\phi \leftrightarrow {D}_s^{\ast }+{\overline{D}}_s^{\ast } J / ? + ? ? D s ? ¯ , be associated ? c 1 (4140), narrow 3.98 width 10 MeV {D}_s^{-}+{D}_0^{\ast}\leftrightarrow +{K}^{\ast -} ? 0 K th recently discovered Z cs (3985).
